How We Met
We first crossed paths on October 28, 2023, at Brittany’s Halloween party. Matt, captivated by the festive decorations he noticed from the parking lot, couldn’t resist the chance to introduce himself. From the moment we met, there was an undeniable connection. Brittany warmly welcomed Matt into the party, and we spent the evening surrounded by friends, including her sister, Bethany.
(Fun fact: Bethany took photos that night and sent them to their mom with a message, “your future son-in-law.”)
The Proposal
On August 16, 2024, Brittany’s birthday, Matt planned a surprise proposal at the Candlelight Concert Tribute to Taylor Swift in Pensacola, Florida. The evening was filled with love and meaning, a perfect blend of Matt’s appreciation for classical music and Brittany’s passion for Taylor Swift. Before the concert, Matt secretly gathered Brittany’s closest friends and family for a surprise dinner. As the night progressed, even more friends joined at the concert, building the excitement. After the musicians completed their performance, Matt led Brittany onto the stage, and, surrounded by their loved ones, he asked her to marry him. It was a truly perfect and unforgettable moment.
